Omar graduated from UMBC in 2014 where he majored in Financial Economics and Information Systems. He was born and raised in Maryland and attended River Hill High School. In Omar’s Junior year of high school, he attended the American School of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He was given the opportunity to play varsity basketball at both ASD and River Hill. During his time in Dubai, he played different club teams throughout UAE and traveled to Doha, Qatar to compete in games and tournaments. Omar has been trained and mentored by coaches who previously played Collegiate and International Basketball.
Omar has attended several basketball camps and has had extensive experience with coaching young athletes in middle and high school. He has been a teacher and mentor for middle and high schoolers for the past 8 years in the local community. He is currently in the process of getting his coaching and training certifications.
Co-Founder and Director of Basketball Operations
Abdirashid has lived in Silver Spring, MD with his family for most of
his life. Ever since Abdirashid was young, he has always had a strong passion
for sports. He began as a young child playing soccer with his
brothers and later playing for various club teams in his area. Abdirashid
attended several sports camps during his Middle and High School years. His first three years of high school, he attended Springbrook High and played for the Junior Varsity Football and Basketball team. Abdirashid attended his
final year of high school at Montgomery Blair where he was apart of the
Varsity Basketball team.
Abdirashid has had extensive experience working with kids. Since the summer of
2003, Abdirashid has been a counselor at local YMCA and Masjid Summer Camps. He has had experience coaching high schoolers for local tournaments. Abdirashid currently is in the process of obtaining his coaching
and training certifications.
Director of Marketing Operations
Ahmed Abbasi is an aspiring Marketing/Operations Management major at the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business. He is responsible for the marketing, communication and business development efforts of 3Di Athletics. In addition to strategic business development , he directs media relations, branding, advertising and website development. He manages and oversees camps, events, charitable contributions and more. Ahmed has a passion for playing, watching, and officiating basketball. Ahmed officiates high school basketball in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. In his free time Ahmed likes to breakdown/analyze college and professional basketball while still enjoying the quintessential aspect of the game. Also, Ahmed looks forward to seeing 3Di grow into a national standard and source for basketball education.
Senior Trainer and Coach for Boys
Our other newest addition to the 3Di Team is Raouf Osman, 6’4″-170 lb Guard-Forward who is known for his shooting and athleticism. He was born and raised in Silver Spring, MD where he attended Albert Einstein High School. Raouf played for the school’s basketball team 3 out of his 4 years there. After high school, Raouf attended one year of prep school at Rise Academy in Philadelphia. He was the Team Captain for Rise Academy, a Hoopscoop Top 10 Prep Player in Philadelphia, and was elected for the Third Team All-Defense in the region. He was recruited by various Division 2 and Division 3 schools but passed on the opportunity to return home for personal reasons.
After Prep School, Raouf played two additional years of basketball at Montgomery College in Rockville, MD. During his first year, his team finished ranked 9th in nation in Division 3 Junior Colleges, Runner Up for District 7, Region 20 Champions, and ranked 4th in MD JUCO (Junior Colleges). Raouf also ran Track and Field at Montgomery College, finishing top in the nation in multiple events. Raouf decided to forgo his basketball career and attend the University of Maryland for academic reasons. Raouf has always had a passion in coaching and working with young athletes of all ages. He is looking forward to coach at future 3Di Atheltics’ camps and clinics.

Bio coming soon! Coach Varun Ram currently plays guard for the University of Maryland Terrapins. He grew up in Howard County and played on the same high school team as Coach Omar.
Senior Trainer and Coach for Girls
Sayema is a pre-law, undergraduate student at the University of Maryland. She is double majoring in economics and communications and working as a teaching assistant. Sayema was born and raised in Rockville, Maryland and also works as a Sunday school teacher in the local community.
Sayema began playing organized basketball in 4th grade at the Washington Episcopal School. She won the Coaches’ Award in 8th grade for outstanding leadership and performance in her school’s athletics’ program. In high school, she played junior varsity and varsity basketball for Thomas S. Wootton High School and played AAU basketball for the Maryland Flames. She spent her high schools summers as a camp counselor at a renowned basketball camp in Montgomery County and the head coach of an 8th grade recreational basketball team that went undefeated.
Currently, Sayema plays club basketball for UMD and is an assistant coach for the 6th Man Sports’ AAU team. She also has a Double Goal Coach certification from the Positive Coaching Alliance. Sayema has a strong passion for sports and working with youth, and is excited to join 3Di Athletics.
