What does 3Di stand for?
3Di Athletics stands for 3 main parts which fulfill one goal: Identity
The “i” in 3Di stands for identity. 3Di’s focus is to use basketball as a platform to help develop character as a key aspect of the identity for young athletes growing up in the United States.
Deen: Deen is the Arabic term for “the way of life.” We strongly believe that character is essential to our athletes’ way of life. In all our events and camps, we strive to help individuals develop a sound character which will help them on the court/field and in the real world. 3Di is open to all religions and cultures.
Determination: Desire is the key to motivation, but it’s determination that will help you succeed. We believe that determination is half of basketball. The people who you surround yourself are those who will have a strong influence on your confidence and ability to succeed as an athlete. 3Di is here to cultivate those skills, and to help young athletes develop a confidence that will help them perform well in school and succeed in their life-long goals.
Discipline: The great boxer, Muhammad Ali, once said, “I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘Don’t quit. Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion.'” 3Di athletes lives by hard work and discipline. We encourage our athletes to sleep well and eat healthy. We emphasize punctuality and the importance of showing respect to others.
